Feature · Stage 5

In garment wholesale, a photo without a design number isn't a photo. It's a question.

Logo, business name, design number, colour, rate, phone, GST and address — rendered onto every generated image at the moment it's created, not pasted on afterwards.

What does branding do to a catalog image?

Branding overlays your business details onto the generated photograph: a header band carrying your logo and business name, a metadata strip with design number, colour and rate, and a footer with your phone, GST or address. The result is a self-contained document — a buyer who receives it on WhatsApp knows what the garment is, what it costs, and who to call, without a covering message.

That is how the garment trade already works. The photograph and the rate travel together, because they get forwarded separately from whoever sent them. Branding makes each image survive being forwarded.

The fields

What you can put on an image

Each field is individually switchable, so you can run a full wholesale layout for buyers and a bare logo for social.

Logo
Uploaded once to your profile and placed in the header band. PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG up to 5 MB.
Business name
Set on your company profile and carried on every image.
Design number
The identifier a buyer will quote back to you. Stored against each uploaded fabric — auto-generated on first save if you leave it blank — so it propagates without retyping.
Colour
Follows the colour variant the image was actually generated in, so a batch of five colourways is labelled correctly without manual editing.
Rate
Stored per design in rupees. Shown alongside the design number in the metadata strip.
Phone, GST and address
Footer details for buyers who need to raise a purchase order or verify who they're dealing with.
Custom watermark text
Optional, and yours — Vastram Studio adds no mark of its own to any generated image.
Extra fields
Additional labelled values can be added to the metadata strip for anything your trade needs that the standard set doesn't cover.

Where to use it

Brand some destinations, not all of them

Overlaid text helps in exactly the places where the image travels on its own, and hurts everywhere else.

  • WhatsApp and Broadcast — brand it. The image gets forwarded from buyer to buyer. Without your details on it, the third person to see it has no way to reach you.
  • PDF catalogs — brand it. A printed or forwarded catalog page needs design number and rate on the frame. See the catalog maker.
  • Marketplace listings — don’t. Most marketplaces reject images with logos, contact details or text overlays. Upload the clean version.
  • Instagram feed — usually not. A rate card on a feed post reads as wholesale rather than retail. Keep the frame clean and put the detail in the caption instead — see the Instagram workflow.

Both versions are always kept

Branding never replaces the original. Each generated photo keeps a clean master alongside the branded version, so you can send the branded frame to a buyer and upload the clean one to a marketplace without regenerating anything.

Questions

Branding questions

Is this a watermark?

No, and the distinction matters. Vastram Studio never puts its own mark on your images — every generated photo is watermark-free. Branding is your identity, added by you: your logo, your business name, your rate. You can also add your own watermark text if you want one.

Do I have to set this up for every photo?

No. Branding is configured once on your profile and applied at generation time, so every image in a batch comes out already branded. You can toggle it off per job when you need a clean frame — for a marketplace listing, for instance, where overlays are usually not allowed.

Can the price and design number differ per design?

Yes. Price, SKU, minimum order quantity and available sizes are stored against each uploaded fabric, so they propagate to every image generated from it rather than being retyped. Colour follows the colour variant the image was actually generated in.

What image formats does the branded version come in?

The branded image is produced from the same file as the clean download, at the same resolution, and can be downloaded in any of the export shapes — Instagram feed, story, marketplace, website or square. Both the branded and the clean version are available.

Should I brand images I upload to a marketplace?

Generally no. Most marketplaces reject listing images carrying logos, text overlays or contact details. Brand the images you send on WhatsApp and put in PDF catalogs; keep marketplace uploads clean.
