Why does garment type matter in AI fashion photography?
Most AI product-photo tools take a flat-lay of a finished garment and re-photograph it on a model. That works when the garment is a t-shirt. It breaks on Indian fashion, where the same length of cloth becomes a completely different product depending on how it’s cut: a five-metre piece is a saree if it’s draped, a kurta if it’s cut into panels, and a lehenga if it’s split across a panelled skirt, a cropped choli and a lighter dupatta.
